Wyoming football is set to welcome almost 50 new players this offseason, a move that underscores the program’s intent to refresh its roster after a season of departures. Among those returning are Samuel Harris, Dante Drake and Jayden Williams, who give the team continuity at key positions, while the loss of top receivers Chris Durr Jr., cornerbacks Tyrese Boss and Markie Grant leaves sizable holes to fill.
A Revamped Roster Aims to Strengthen the Offense
New quarterback Tyler Hughes, a graduate transfer from William and Mary, will take over the huddle, bringing a fresh arm to the offense. Joining him is tight end Tyler Siddons, a senior from Salem, Arkansas, whose reputation for physicality and run‑blocking has already drawn praise from head coach Jay Sawvel, who said Siddons will be pivotal in helping the offensive line thrive.
The coaching staff also expects contributions from a host of newcomers, including Markell Holman, Chandler Donaway, Jason Maciejcak, Jeremiah Katt, Jake Wilson, Deion DeBlanc, Desman Hearns, Rex Johnsen, Braylon Jenkins, Mason Drube, Shannon Moore, Tyler Vander Waal and Jake Frendt, all of whom are looking to make an immediate impact.
