Division I Race Heats Up
Four programs have already locked in berths for the Division I State Tournament in Gillette, including the Gillette Riders, Sheridan Troopers, Cheyenne Sixers and Casper Oilers. The tournament is scheduled for July 24‑28, 2026, promising high‑stakes matchups under the Wyoming summer sky.
Two slots remain in each conference, sparking a fierce battle among teams such as Cody, Powell, Jackson, Lovell, Riverton and the Sheridan Jets in the North, while the South Conference sees contenders like Cheyenne Hawks, Laramie Rangers and Torrington Tigers vying for the final places.
WyoPreps has opened a fan poll inviting supporters to predict which squad will capture the Division I title, adding a community‑driven element to the lead‑up.
Meanwhile, the Division II State Tournament will take place in Green River, further enriching the state's baseball calendar later in the summer.
