Xzavier Baker, a 6‑8 forward who last starred at Dimond High School in Anchorage, has officially signed a scholarship agreement with the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves for the 2026‑27 season.
During his high school career the Lynx reached the top four of the ASAA 4A State Tournament in both his junior and senior years, and he earned Cook Inlet Conference Player of the Year honors in 2022‑23 while also being named to the AABC First Team All‑State roster.
A Familiar Mentor
Coach Cameron Turner, who previously guided Baker at Eastern Arizona, expressed enthusiasm about the reunion, citing Baker’s work ethic and his proven ability to contribute to winning cultures.
At Eastern Arizona, Baker redshirted during the 2023‑24 campaign, appeared in all 32 games and posted averages of 4.2 points and 3.5 rebounds, before helping the Gila Monsters capture the NJCAA Region 1 title in the following season.
His addition marks the ninth player to join the Seawolves since Turner assumed the head coaching role in the spring, underscoring the program’s momentum as it looks to build on recent successes.
