Yahoo Sports is set to reshape the way college football fans engage with the game by launching a dedicated fantasy football platform for the 2026 season.
Power‑Four Coverage and Notre Dame Join the Mix
The new league will feature rosters drawn from the Big Ten, SEC, Big 12 and ACC, as well as the Fighting Irish, giving participants the chance to draft athletes from any of the Power Four conferences plus Notre Dame.
Each fantasy squad will consist of 18 players, two more than the traditional 15‑player format, and will include a novel "Offense" slot that lets users assemble an entire unit from a single team.
How Scoring Works
Points are awarded for touchdowns, total yards, field goals and victories, while penalties deduct points for turnovers and losses, creating a dynamic scoring environment that mirrors the high‑octane offenses of modern college football.
Yahoo Sports president Ryan Spoon emphasized that the format is designed to deepen fans’ connection to the sport, its players and their schools, offering a fresh way to experience college football fandom.
