Yale Women's Hockey Players Earn Krampade Scholar All-American Honors
The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced this week that four members of the Yale Bulldogs women's ice hockey team have been selected as Krampade Scholar All‑Americans for the 2025‑26 season, a distinction that underscores the program’s commitment to scholarly achievement as well as athletic excellence.
To earn the honor, student‑athletes must maintain a minimum 3.75 grade point average across both semesters and demonstrate participation in at least 40 percent of their team’s games, a standard that the AHCA says reflects the rigorous demands placed on modern collegiate players.
Balancing Books and the Board
Sylvia Bojarski, Carina DiAntonio, Ella Klinkhammer and Hannah Weyerhaeuser each met those criteria, earning them a place among the 319 Division I women’s players — and the 723 athletes overall — who received the Krampade Scholar All‑American accolade this year.
Their recognition comes as the Bulldogs continue to build on a strong competitive record, having faced a challenging schedule that includes matchups against powerhouse programs in both the ECAC and national tournaments.
A Broader Recognition Across Division I
The AHCA awarded 319 Division I women’s players and 723 athletes in total with the Krampade Scholar All‑American distinction, highlighting a growing emphasis on academic excellence throughout the sport.
Looking Ahead
For the Bulldogs, the four selections mark a significant milestone, representing the largest single‑class cohort of scholar‑athletes the program has produced in recent memory, and they set a benchmark for future teams.
The university’s athletic department emphasized that the honor reflects not only individual effort but also the supportive environment fostered by coaches, academic advisors and teammates.
As the season progresses, the Bulldogs aim to translate this academic momentum into continued success on the rink, with upcoming games against rivals such as Union and ECAC foes.
