Youngstown State University announced that head coach Rich Wall has signed a three‑year contract extension that will keep him leading the women’s soccer program through June 2029.
A milestone for the program
In his debut season in 2025, Wall guided the Penguins to a 6‑2‑2 record in Horizon League play and an overall 8‑5‑2 mark, establishing new program benchmarks.
The team set multiple school records, including most goals scored (19), assists (14), points (52), team points (20) and conference wins (6), en route to a third‑place finish in the league.
Freshman forward Kamryn Rosa made an immediate impact, becoming the first YSU player to earn Horizon League Freshman of the Year honors after posting seven goals, two assists and 16 total points, which also earned her a second‑team all‑league selection.
Senior defender Emma Rigone was recognized on the All‑Horizon League Second Team, while classmates Camille Bultel, Sara Felder and Maya Naimoli earned third‑team nods, underscoring the squad’s depth.
Wall’s coaching pedigree spans 13 years across NCAA Division I and II, including six seasons as a head coach and a stint that took Mercyhurst from Division II to its first Division I campaign, where he mentored two all‑Americans and eight all‑conference selections.
Looking ahead, the extension provides stability as the program builds on its recent triumphs, with Wall poised to blend experienced leadership and emerging talent in the next chapter of Youngstown State soccer.
