A Day of Friendly Competition
On July 21, children between the ages of four and twelve gathered on the practice fields of Forks High School to take part in a series of soccer matches.
Five games unfolded simultaneously, each featuring youngsters from local youth teams eager to showcase their growing abilities.
The atmosphere was lively, with parents and neighbors cheering from the sidelines, while the focus remained on participation and fun.
Skill, Mistakes, and Sportsmanship
Despite occasional missteps — such as wayward kicks and missed opportunities — the players demonstrated impressive skill for their age, scoring multiple goals and displaying a commendable level of sportsmanship.
Occasional contact, including light shoulder bumps and a few instances of players striking opponents near the chin, was observed, yet no serious injuries were reported.
The matches concluded without any yellow or red cards, brawls, or property damage, reinforcing a safe and supportive environment.
