Former Liberty standout joins NBA Summer League roster

A New Chapter for a Liberty Alum

Zach Cleveland, a former standout forward for Liberty men's basketball, has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, joining a lineage of Liberty players who have reached the NBA.

During his final season he posted averages of 11.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals per game, numbers that placed him atop Conference USA in assists and earned him a spot among the nation’s top ten.

His career culminated in a 26‑win season and a Conference USA regular‑season crown, and he finished fourth all‑time in assists, eighth in rebounds, 25th in points and second in blocks in program history.

Summer League Participation

Cleveland will be a member of the Grizzlies' 2026 NBA Summer League roster, which is scheduled to run from July 3 to 19 in Las Vegas, San Francisco, Sacramento and Salt Lake City.

The Summer League will give him a platform to showcase his playmaking and defensive skills as he aims to become the fifth Liberty player to secure a spot on an NBA regular‑season roster.
