Laila Edwards Honored with Parade After Olympic Gold Triumph
Cleveland Heights native Laila Edwards, the first Black woman to compete for Team USA Women's hockey in the Olympics, was celebrated with a parade after helping the team win gold in Milan. Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne praised her leadership and declared June 14 as Laila Edwards Day.
