Alvin F. Poussaint, a Harvard professor of psychiatry, created the short‑lived PBS series Willoughby’s Wonders, which used soccer to teach life lessons to children. The pilot earned Emmy awards, sparked the careers of future actors and now resides in the Library of Congress, where his papers are being processed for research.
