Santa’s Scooter Slip: Sacramento River Cats Mascot’s Unexpected Collision
During a Christmas in July celebration, the Sacramento River Cats' mascot Dinger, dressed as Santa, collided with outfielder Alek Thomas while riding a scooter on the warning track. Thomas remained in the game despite the impact and later contributed three hits in a subsequent series in Salt Lake City.
