VCU Athletic Village Transforms Soccer Experience
Virginia Commonwealth University’s $200 million Athletic Village, a 42‑acre complex, opened its doors in 2024, featuring a 400‑meter track, practice fields and an NCAA‑standard soccer pitch. The women’s soccer team played its first official match there, losing 4‑0 to North Carolina State, while players and coaches praised the venue’s modern amenities and potential to rival elite soccer stadiums.
