Kent Briggs, Beloved Coach and Community Pillar, Passes Away at 68
Kent Briggs, former Western Carolina University football coach, died after a long battle with cancer. His funeral will be held on June 27 at Biltmore Church in Asheville, and he is survived by his wife, daughter, son‑in‑law and grandson.
