San Clemente High School Secures First Varsity Victory Over Kapa’a on Kauai
The Tritons clinched their inaugural varsity win of the 2026 season with a decisive 23-8 triumph over Kapa’a on the island of Kauai. Quarterback Preston Beck delivered a touchdown pass and a rushing score, while receiver Jaxson Rex caught the pivotal pass. Defensive standout Cade Hogan added an interception in the third quarter. The victory represents the first time an Orange County high school has opened its varsity football campaign early in the season, and it has already propelled the team into the preseason Top 25 rankings.
