Junior Brock Bearden, a Mass Communication major at the University of Texas at Tyler, has been awarded the Elite Scholar-Athlete Award, joining a streak of consecutive winners, and will lead the Patriots in the opening game of the NCAA Division II World Series against Central Missouri in Cary, North Carolina.
