Ethan McElvain, a junior left‑hander transferred from Vanderbilt, has been named a finalist for the Stopper of the Year Award, given to the nation’s top relief pitcher by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. His 6‑0 record, 1.03 ERA and 52 strikeouts have positioned him for the award to be announced in Omaha.
