Sallie Jane’s Shuts Doors After Three Years, Citing Family Health
The Lexington bar and restaurant Sallie Jane’s closed after three years, not due to lack of support but because its co‑owner, Nancy Ayers Edwards, fell ill. The venue, dedicated to the memory of Edwards’s grandmother, partnered with JD’s Kitchen and Catering and was known for cocktails like Mamma’s Punch. Edwards, who continues to DJ at University of Kentucky games, hopes to revive the concept in a new form.
