Israel’s “Back in the Game” Initiative Helps PTSD‑Stricken Veterans Find Healing Through Basketball
The Israel Basketball Association, together with the Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization and the Center for Jewish Impact, has launched a program called “Back in the Game” that uses basketball to aid IDF veterans coping with post‑traumatic stress disorder. The initiative features four teams across the country, offering weekly practices, professional coaching and psychological support, and culminated in a launch tournament where the Samaria squad claimed first place.
