A Fresh Uniform Unveiled
On Monday, the University of Tennessee revealed its latest men’s basketball uniforms, a striking orange ensemble that marks the beginning of a decade‑long agreement with Adidas.
The new kit retains the Volunteers’ classic aesthetic while introducing refined collaring and updated sleeve piping, and it showcases a centered Adidas logo in the team’s signature hue, complemented by a subtle Power T emblem perched above the player’s name plate.
Coach Barnes' Vision
Head coach Rick Barnes praised the collaboration, noting that Adidas’ resurgence aligns with the program’s recent competitive achievements and its growing brand influence.
The partnership revives a relationship that dates back to 1995, when Adidas first outfitted the Vols, a stint that lasted until the end of June 2015 before Nike assumed the role. The return of Adidas signals a strategic shift as the athletic department looks to leverage the brand’s heritage and market reach.
