The upcoming World Cup final halftime show will feature a rare convergence of pop royalty, with Justin Bieber set to share the stage alongside Madonna, Shakira and K‑pop phenoms BTS.
A Global Stage for a Global Cause
Scheduled for July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium, the 11‑minute broadcast will be curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay, who has assembled a lineup that also includes Burna Boy and cameo appearances by characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets.
The performance is part of a broader initiative led by Global Citizen and FIFA to mobilise $100 million for education and football development worldwide, with each World Cup ticket contributing a dollar to the cause; more than $50 million has already been pledged.
Organisers say the fundraiser not only underscores the tournament’s growing social impact but also highlights the power of music and culture to drive tangible change in communities that need it most.
