Apple and Major League Baseball have announced the August schedule for “Friday Night Baseball,” a weekly doubleheader that will stream exclusively on Apple TV, offering fans a curated slate of games across North America and beyond.
The schedule spotlights marquee matchups, including a St. Louis Cardinals versus Chicago Cubs showdown on August 14 and a New York Yankees versus Boston Red Sox clash on August 28, two of the season’s most anticipated rivalry games.
Additional teams slated to appear twice during the month include the Toronto Blue Jays, who will meet the Yankees and the Seattle Mariners in rematch series, as well as the Seattle Mariners and Tampa Bay Rays, each slated for two appearances.
Expert Commentary and Pregame Programming
All games will be produced by MLB Network’s Emmy‑winning production team in collaboration with Apple, delivering expert analysis from a roster that includes Wayne Randazzo, Dontrelle Willis, Heidi Watney, Alex Faust, Ryan Spilborghs, Tricia Whitaker and Rich Waltz.
Pregame shows will be hosted by Lauren Gardner, Eric Hosmer and Russell Dorsey, while fans in the United States and Canada can tune into home and away local radio broadcasts for an immersive listening experience.
The broadcasts will be available in more than 60 countries and regions, accessible on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV 4K and a range of smart TVs, with a subscription price of $12.99 per month and a seven‑day free trial for new Apple TV subscribers.
