A Season of Excellence
The 2026 Times‑Tribune All‑Region Baseball Team has been announced, recognizing the standout athletes from schools across the Lackawanna League and spotlighting the depth of talent that defined this season.
Nick Bradley of Abington Heights earned Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive season, cementing his status as the league’s most consistent performer. At the plate he batted .369 with six doubles, two triples, five home runs, 23 runs and 17 RBIs, while on the mound he threw a no‑hitter with 12 strikeouts on May 4 against West Scranton, the 200th of his career.
Other notable contributors included Nick Bohenek from Riverside, who went 6‑1 with a 2.24 ERA and 67 strikeouts and also topped the league batting at .514 with five doubles, four triples, four home runs, 35 runs and 29 RBIs.
Mason Stets of Dunmore posted a 6‑0 record with a 1.37 ERA and 47 strikeouts, later earning the save in the District 2 Class 3A final, while Jordan Jagger of Mountain View fanned a league‑best 119 batters en route to a 2.01 ERA.
Additional standouts such as Alden Felker of Elk Lake, Nick Mills of Mid Valley, Joey Romanosky of Mid Valley, Adam Sorensen of Montrose, Jose Sosa of Riverside, Jamie McMynne of Dunmore, Evan Gonzalez of Abington Heights, Liam Onofry of Delaware Valley and Chris Graff of Riverside each posted impressive offensive numbers, from .412 to .513 averages and multiple extra‑base hits.
Coach Eric Lenz of Wallenpaupack was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Buckhorns to a 15‑6 record and a share of the Division I title, underscoring the impact of leadership on the team’s success.
The breadth of talent across the league suggests a promising future for these players, many of whom will look to build on these performances as they move toward college and beyond.
