A Season of Stars
The Times‑Tribune has released its 2026 All‑Region baseball team, recognizing the standout performers from schools across the Lackawanna League. The selections reflect a year in which local programs combined dominant pitching with potent hitting, setting the stage for a competitive postseason.
At the center of the accolades is Nick Bradley of Abington Heights, who has been named Player of the Year for the second straight season. Bradley combined a .369 batting average with six doubles, two triples and five home runs, while also delivering a 1.54 ERA and 71 strikeouts on the mound, underscoring his dual‑threat capabilities.
Other offensive standouts include Nick Bohenek from Riverside, who topped the league with a .514 average and added 35 runs and 29 RBIs, and Mason Stets of Dunmore, who went 6‑0 with a 1.37 ERA and 47 strikeouts. Jordan Jagger of Mountain View struck out a league‑best 119 batters while posting a 2.01 ERA, highlighting the depth of pitching talent in the region.
Coach of the Year
Eric Lenz of Wallenpaupack was honored as Coach of the Year after guiding the Buckhorns to a 15‑6 overall record and sharing the Lackawanna League Division I title. His leadership helped the team secure a strong finish and maintain a high level of competition throughout the schedule.
Additional contributors such as Alden Felker of Elk Lake, who led the league in RBIs with 30, and Nick Mills of Mid Valley, who batted .411 with five home runs despite missing time due to injury, further illustrate the breadth of talent recognized this year. Players like Joey Romanosky, Adam Sorensen, Jose Sosa, Jamie McMynne, Evan Gonzalez, Liam Onofry and Chris Graff each posted impressive statistics that helped their squads vie for titles and playoff berths.
The selections also reflect the collaborative efforts of coaches, families and community supporters who have nurtured these athletes. As the region looks ahead to next season, the spotlight remains on the emerging stars who continue to raise the level of high school baseball in Pennsylvania.
