Tim Bradbury Appointed Coach of 2011 Boys ODP National Team

The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association director will lead scouting efforts in Florida and guide the squad toward the 2027 IberCup in Portugal.

A New Era of Scouting and Player Development

Tim Bradbury, director of coaching for the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association, has been appointed head coach of the 2011 Boys Olympic Development Program national team, a role that will take him to Florida next winter to evaluate talent and to a training camp that will culminate in preparation for the IberCup in Portugal scheduled for spring 2027.

The program emphasizes a four‑day intensive session in Florida where the players will work together to forge a cohesive style of play, a strategy Bradbury says is essential for modern youth development and for ensuring that the team gels before competing abroad.

Bradbury’s tenure at ENYYSA, now spanning more than a decade, has seen him oversee a team of sixteen coaches and shape the organization’s educational pathways, including the creation of U.S. Soccer educator courses that have trained dozens of emerging instructors across the country.

A strong advocate for player autonomy, he believes that athletes should be empowered to make in‑game decisions without constant adult interference, a philosophy that has resonated across the U.S. soccer landscape and aligns with contemporary development models.

His credentials include a U.S. Soccer ‘A’ License, a United Soccer Coaches Master Coach Diploma and a FIFA educator developer certification earned after completing the program in Atlanta, underscoring his commitment to continuous learning and international standards.

Born in Stoke‑on‑Trent, England, Bradbury captained the British Colleges side for four years before moving to the United States, where he later led York College’s men’s soccer team to its first CUNY championship in 1990, a milestone that marked the beginning of his long‑standing influence on collegiate soccer in the region.

Beyond club duties, he has coached notable talents such as Crystal Dunn, a former U.S. women’s national team star, and held leadership roles in the Long Island Junior Soccer League and the Eastern New York ODP Girls Program, experiences that have broadened his perspective on both boys’ and girls’ development pathways.
