The 2027 Induction Class
NASCAR revealed that the 2027 Hall of Fame class will consist of three drivers: Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton, and Larry Phillips. The announcement underscores the diverse pathways that lead to induction, with Harvick and Burton advancing through the Modern Era ballot and Phillips securing a spot via the Pioneer ballot.
Harvick’s election was decisive, earning 92 percent of the Modern Era vote, a figure that left only four of the 50 voters omitting his name. His dominance reflects a career marked by 60 Cup Series victories and a reputation for relentless competitiveness.
Burton, a longtime fan favorite, received 32 percent of the Modern Era ballots, appearing on 16 of the 50 voting sheets. Though his vote share was lower than Harvick’s, the breadth of his support across the voting body highlighted his lasting impact on the sport’s culture.
Larry Phillips, the Pioneer ballot winner, captured 38 percent of that specific vote, the highest percentage among all candidates in that category. His induction acknowledges a career that helped shape NASCAR’s early modern era and mentored many drivers who followed.
The ceremony will take place on January 22, 2027, at the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event promises to bring together fans, historians, and former competitors to celebrate the inductees’ contributions.
The class also included notable finalists such as Neil Bonnett, Randy Dorton, and Greg Biffle, who finished third in the Modern Era ballot. Their presence among the contenders illustrates the depth of talent that continues to influence NASCAR’s narrative.
