UConn’s rising stars KK Arnold and Sarah Strong have officially joined the Future is Unrivaled Class of 2026, a name‑image‑likeness initiative designed to showcase the next generation of women’s basketball talent.
A New Pathway for Women’s Basketball
Arnold, a senior forward for the Huskies, is gearing up for her final college season, while Strong, the reigning national player of the year, begins her junior year with championship aspirations.
The Class of 2026 aggregates some of the most coveted prospects from across the country, including athletes from Texas, Ohio State, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Michigan and LSU, forming a diverse pool of talent.
Founders and the Program’s Growth
Future is Unrivaled was founded by former UConn champions Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, and its third season will commence in the winter of 2026, offering skill‑building events, mentorship and marketing opportunities for its participants.
General manager Clare Duwelius has emphasized that the program’s mission extends beyond the court, aiming to develop well‑rounded brand ambassadors who can leverage their platforms for broader impact.
The Huskies are slated to open the 2026‑27 season on November 5 against Michigan, a matchup that will spotlight the fresh talent nurtured by both the university and the Unrivaled network.
Other notable names in the cohort include Kelis Fisher, who recently took part in WNBA All‑Star fan activations, as well as a host of emerging players such as Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd, Joyce Edwards, Jaloni Cambridge, Hannah Hidalgo, Olivia Olson, Jada Williams, Mikaylah Williams and Maggie Vanoni.
Together, these developments signal a shifting landscape for collegiate women’s basketball, where NIL agreements and dedicated development platforms are reshaping how prospects prepare for professional careers.
