A New Chapter for the No. 2 Truck
NASCAR’s Craftsman Truck Series will close its season at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on August 22, and the No. 2 Ford truck will welcome a new driver for the finale.
Luke Baldwin, who has contested five races this year and earned a best finish of 21st at Rockingham, has been confirmed to take the wheel of the iconic No. 2 entry, bringing a fresh presence to the team’s final push.
The move comes as Dystany Spurlock’s rookie campaign draws to a close after a series of early setbacks, including a failed qualifying attempt at Watkins Glen in May and a crash at Dover that kept her from a full‑time seat.
Spurlock finally saw her first national series finish at Richmond Raceway, where she completed the event 11 laps down after joining Team Reaume’s No. 2 Ford, a modest result that underscored the challenges of her debut season.
Baldwin will also share the No. 2 truck in the opening two playoff dates at Bristol and Kansas, while Clayton Green has been locked in for the subsequent races at Martinsville and Homestead, leaving the championship‑bound events at Charlotte, Phoenix and Talladega still awaiting a driver.
The New Hampshire race is part of the Team EJP 175 program and will be streamed live on Fox Sports 1 beginning at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time, offering fans a final glimpse of the season’s twists before the championship showdown.
