Josh Berry has stepped into the driver’s seat of the #21 Ford Mustang for Legacy Motor Club, taking over from John Hunter Nemechek as the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series enters its final nine races.

The move underscores a broader recalibration within Legacy, whose co‑owner Jimmie Johnson highlighted Berry’s proven track record and leadership qualities as key factors in the decision.
Berry’s resurgence since parting ways with Wood Brothers Racing has been striking, with six top‑10 finishes in his recent outings, and he previously contested two races for Legacy at Michigan and Daytona, giving him a familiar feel for the team’s culture.
