The University of Northern Colorado will bring a fresh wave of community‑centric programming to its 2026 football campaign, staging six themed evenings at Nottingham Field. The season kicks off on Aug. 28 with a night‑time showdown against Weber State, the first ever under the newly installed stadium lights.
A season of community‑focused events
City of Greeley Day will accompany the Weber State game, celebrating the partnership between UNC Athletics and the local community, while a series of family‑friendly events will punctuate the schedule throughout the fall.
Kids Day on Sept. 5 against South Dakota State will offer a slate of activities designed for younger fans, followed by Latinx Heritage Day on Sept. 19, sponsored by Banner Health, which will highlight cultural traditions and scholarships.
Homecoming weekend will feature a matchup with Utah Tech on Sept. 26, backed by Bank of Colorado, and later in the season Military Appreciation Day on Oct. 17 will honor service members during the Cal Poly contest, supported by the U.S. Army.
The final home game on Nov. 14 will be Senior Day against Montana State, presented with a sponsorship from Pepsi, marking a celebratory send‑off for graduating players.
