U.S. Soccer Brings Beach Soccer Doubleheader to Venice Beach

Men’s and Women’s National Teams Face Trinidad & Tobago in Landmark Matches

U.S. Soccer is set to host a beach soccer doubleheader on Venice Beach in California on June 21, featuring the United States Men’s and Women’s National Beach Soccer Teams in matches against Trinidad & Tobago.

A Doubleheader on the Sand

The women’s fixture will kick off at noon, with the men’s game following at 1:30 p.m., marking the first home appearance on sand for the women’s side since 2019 and for the men’s side since 2014.

The event forms part of a series of World Cup‑related activities taking place in Venice this summer, which also includes a U.S. Soccer House fan hub on Windward Avenue operating from June 11 through June 26.

Stuart Sharp, who heads U.S. Soccer’s extended national teams department, highlighted the significance of playing on home soil, noting that the familiar setting should amplify the teams’ performance.

Both squads enter the fixtures with impressive recent records; the women’s team captured the 2026 Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup, while the men have secured three Concacaf championships and made seven appearances at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

On June 20, a youth beach soccer clinic will be held on the same venue, organized by the Soccer Forward Foundation in partnership with LA SCORES, offering local children a chance to train with national team players.
