A milestone for WIAC baseball
The 2026 NCAA Division III Academic All‑District® Baseball Team includes twenty‑five student‑athletes from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, a testament to the conference’s growing emphasis on scholarly achievement alongside athletic performance.
These individuals hail from a range of Wisconsin campuses, including the University of Wisconsin‑Eau Claire, UW‑Oshkosh, UW‑Platteville, UW‑River Falls, UW‑Stevens Point, UW‑Stout, and UW‑Whitewater. Their selection reflects not only standout performances on the diamond but also rigorous academic dedication.
What it takes to earn the distinction
To be considered, a player must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and meet specific athletic participation requirements set by the NCAA. The honor recognizes those who excel in both arenas, balancing demanding schedules with scholarly pursuits.
The recognition is coordinated by the College Sports Communicators, a national organization that administers the Academic All‑District® program, and supported by the NCAA, which has long championed the integration of academics and athletics.
Looking ahead
As these athletes move toward the culmination of their collegiate careers, their accomplishments set a benchmark for future classes. The conference hopes the trend of academic excellence will continue to inspire student‑athletes across Wisconsin and beyond.
