A Summer of Streaming and Sport

Apple and Major League Baseball announced the July schedule for its Friday Night Baseball broadcast on Apple TV, confirming that all games will be available to subscribers at no extra charge.

The tech giant is sweetening the offer with a one‑month free trial of Apple TV for qualified new subscribers in the United States and Canada, valid through July 5.

Fans can look forward to the return of two of Apple’s most‑watched original series. The third season of Silo will premiere on July 3, while the fourth season of Ted Lasso begins on August 5.

Apple senior vice president Eddy Cue is set to receive the Entertainment Person of the Year award at the Cannes Lions festival, where he will also deliver a keynote on the opening day of the event, held from June 22 to June 26 in the south of France.

In a milestone for mobile imaging, Apple said the iPhone 17 Pro will be used to capture every angle of a Major League Soccer match between the LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo FC, marking the first time an iPhone has been employed for a top‑level professional live‑sports broadcast.
