First Church Miami is set to launch “Our Summer of Soccer,” a three‑week celebration that weaves together art, worship and community outreach across downtown Miami.
The festivities will be staged near iconic landmarks such as Bayfront Park, Bayside Marketplace, the Kaseya Center and the historic Freedom Tower, inviting residents and visitors to gather in a vibrant public space.
Art and Faith Converge
Central to the program is an exhibition by Paraguayan‑born, Miami‑based sports artist Lili Cantero, whose dynamic canvases have earned international acclaim through collaborations with U.S. Soccer, CONMEBOL and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team.
The church will also present a summer sermon series that explores themes of faith, community, purpose, perseverance and passion, culminating in a special worship service on the eve of the world’s biggest soccer tournament.
Proceeds from the events will support the church’s Breakfast Club ministry and the PHAKAMISA outreach program in Durban, South Africa, reflecting a commitment to both local and global service.
Volunteer members of the congregation will staff the gatherings, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all who attend, with the program running from June 9, 2026 through July 19, 2026.
