The 2026 FIFA World Cup final is set for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, bringing the world’s biggest soccer showcase to the United States for the first time.
This edition will mark a historic expansion, with 48 national teams competing in 104 matches across 11 venues, a significant increase from previous tournaments.
A Stadium With a Rich History
MetLife Stadium, home to the NFL’s Giants and Jets, previously hosted Super Bowl XLVIII and will now serve as the centerpiece of the World Cup, staging the championship match as well as five group‑stage games.
Star‑Studded Halftime Show
The halftime entertainment will feature a rare collaboration of pop icon Madonna, Latin Grammy winner Shakira, and K‑pop phenomenon BTS, promising an 11‑minute performance that will also support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
Organizers say the show aims to raise $100 million for children’s education projects worldwide, underscoring the tournament’s broader social impact.
