Ford and NASCAR team up for a historic Veterans Day race at Naval Base Coronado

The 2026 event will blend high‑octane racing, a concert by the Zac Brown Band and a tribute to the military’s six branches, while Ford supports veteran families.

Ford Motor Company and NASCAR revealed a historic partnership that will bring the sport’s top three national touring series to Naval Base Coronado in San Diego for a Veterans Day race set for November 2026. The event marks the first time NASCAR has staged a race on a U.S. naval installation, underscoring the growing connection between the racing community and the nation’s military.

A milestone for NASCAR

The race will coincide with the United States’ 250th anniversary of independence, adding a patriotic backdrop to the competition. Featuring the Mustang Dark Horse R, the event will showcase Ford’s latest performance model alongside a limited‑edition Super Duty Proud to Honor package, whose proceeds will be donated to Blue Star Families, a nonprofit that supports military families.

Adding to the celebration, the Zac Brown Band will deliver an exclusive concert on the base, giving service members and their families a rare opportunity to enjoy live music alongside the high‑octane action.

Ford’s Driving Skills for Life program will also be on site, offering hands‑on training for local military families to sharpen their road safety skills. The initiative reflects the automaker’s long‑standing commitment to the armed forces and to developing responsible drivers.

Tim Clark, NASCAR’s executive vice president and a U.S. Army veteran, highlighted the significance of the partnership, noting that the event will honor all six branches of the military. He was joined by a roster of Ford drivers who are currently positioned for the postseason, including Ryan Blaney, Chris Buescher and Austin Cindric, who have each tasted success this season.

The collaboration also extends to community outreach, with Ford hosting a series of activities that recognize the sacrifices of service members while providing entertainment and support for their families. The partnership illustrates how sport, industry and the military can join forces to celebrate shared values.
