NASCAR and Ford Team Up for a Veterans Day Racing Tribute

A November 2026 exhibition race will honor the U.S. military’s six branches, with proceeds benefiting Blue Star Families.

NASCAR and Ford announced that they will stage a Veterans Day exhibition race on November 11, 2026, featuring six drivers each piloting a Ford sports car that represents one of the United States’ military branches.

A tribute on the track

The ceremony to unveil the event took place aboard the USS Midway in San Diego during NASCAR’s race week, where the partnership was highlighted before an audience of service members and veterans.

Ford will field its track‑only Mustang Dark Horse R machines, equipped with a special red, white and blue Super Duty Proud to Honor package that will be displayed throughout the weekend.

All proceeds from the race will be directed to Blue Star Families, a nonprofit that supports military families, continuing a tradition of NASCAR’s engagement with the armed forces that includes sponsorships, flyovers and enlistment programs.

While the exact venue, format and driver lineup remain to be confirmed, the race is slated to sit apart from the regular season and will precede the championship event at Homestead‑Miami Speedway scheduled for November 8.

Mark Rushbrook, director of Ford Performance, said the initiative reflects pride in creating a new tradition ahead of America’s 250th anniversary, underscoring the company’s commitment to the military community.
