Cole Custer, the 2023 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series champion, is set to sit out the upcoming race at Naval Base Coronado, a venue making its debut on the series schedule.
Instead, Alex Labbe will make his fifth start of the 2026 season in the No. 0 Chevrolet, bringing fresh momentum after a recent 19th‑place finish at Watkins Glen International.
A Shift in the Lineup
Custer's campaign this year has been defined by a scattered calendar, with appearances at Pocono Raceway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kansas Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway earlier in the season, culminating in a 12th‑place result at Pocono and a season‑best 13th at Circuit of the Americas.
His final start of the year is slated for Chicagoland Speedway in early July, offering the champion a last chance to add points before the series concludes.
The inaugural race on the Coronado base will be broadcast live on the CW Network, giving viewers a front‑row view of the unique military venue's first appearance in the series.
The effort is being coordinated through a partnership that includes Haas Factory Team, SS‑Green Light Racing and the niche BRK Racing program, each providing technical support and sponsorship for the No. 0 entry.
