NASCAR’s 2026 Schedule Redefines the Calendar
The upcoming 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season will feature two brand‑new tracks, one of which is the newly created Coronado Street Course in San Diego. The inaugural Anduril 250 will take place on the street circuit, marking the first time the series has raced on a venue of this kind.
Alongside the new venue, the series has secured a sweeping media‑rights agreement that reshapes how fans will watch the sport. Amazon Prime Video will broadcast the San Diego race live, while TNT Sports will share coverage of five events each season. NBC will retain the remaining 14 dates, ensuring a diversified distribution of the sport’s flagship programming.
The broadcast partnership also brings a familiar voice to the TNT Sports roster. Adam Alexander, alongside Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Steve Letarte, will transition to the network for a five‑race stint, bringing their expertise to a new platform and expanding the reach of NASCAR’s commentary team.
Beyond the San Diego debut, Prime Video’s coverage has already been proven at venues such as Charlotte Motor Speedway, Nashville Superspeedway, Michigan International Speedway and Pocono Raceway. The addition of the Coronado Street Course underscores a strategic push to blend traditional ovals with urban street circuits, reflecting evolving fan interests and the series’ ambition to broaden its footprint.
The schedule shift also signals a broader realignment of racing locations. While the new street event joins historic sites like the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City and the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the series continues to explore diverse venues across the United States and beyond, promising a fresh calendar that balances tradition with innovation.
