Celebrity chef and television personality Guy Fieri has taken on a new role as a strategic owner of Legacy Motor Club, a storied NASCAR team with deep roots in American motorsport.
Fieri, best known for his energetic Food Network programs such as "Diners, Drive‑Ins and Dives", joins a partnership that already includes seven‑time champions Jimmie Johnson and the late Richard Petty, bringing a blend of culinary culture and racing heritage.
The team, which fields two full‑time entries in the NASCAR Cup Series, is driven by Erik Jones and John Hunter Nemechek, and showcases the iconic numbers 43 and 42 as a tribute to the Petty family’s legacy.
Bridging Two Worlds
Under the new ownership structure, Fieri will collaborate with the team on original content, fan‑engagement initiatives and a line of merchandise that fuses the excitement of the track with the flavors of the kitchen, a concept the team describes as connecting fans from the track to the table.
Music star Darius Rucker also became part of the ownership group earlier this year, further enriching the mix of talent that aims to reshape the team’s brand identity.
Based in Statesville, North Carolina, Legacy Motor Club plans to leverage its local roots while expanding its reach through the cross‑industry partnership.
