B.J. McLeod’s latest Cup Series outing lasted only 106 laps before a mechanical failure forced him out of the Atlanta Motor Speedway event, marking his third retirement without finishing a race this season.

The No. 78 Chevrolet, fielded by Live Fast Motorsports, has become a rotating door for drivers. Daniel Dye, who made his debut in the car, posted a season‑best 24th place at Pocono and also finished 29th at the same track, while Katherine Legge previously tackled the car at Watkins Glen and Charlotte, even attempting the Memorial Day Double.
The team’s calendar remains crowded. Dye is slated to drive the Chevrolet at the Brickyyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and the car will also appear at the superspeedway events at Daytona and Talladega, while Chad Finchum is set to take the wheel of the No. 66 Garage 66 Ford at North Wilkesboro Speedway for the upcoming Window World 450.
