The Big 12 Conference has unveiled the 18‑game opponent matrix for the 2026‑27 women’s basketball season, setting the stage for a competitive schedule that begins in early November.
A packed slate for the Jayhawks
Kansas will anchor its home schedule with nine conference contests at Allen Fieldhouse, facing Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech and UCF. The venue, known for its electric atmosphere, will host the bulk of the team’s home games.
The road portion of the schedule takes the Jayhawks to BYU, Cincinnati, Colorado, Houston, Utah and West Virginia, ensuring a diverse set of environments and travel challenges.
In addition, Kansas will engage in home‑and‑home series with Iowa State, Kansas State and Oklahoma State, guaranteeing regular matchups with traditional rivals.
Championship destination
The conference tournament’s championship game will be played at the T‑Mobile Center in Kansas City, a neutral‑site venue that has become a staple of the Big 12 postseason.
Head coach Brandon Schneider, now in his 12th season at the helm, continues to shape the program’s identity. Under his guidance the team has posted four 20‑win campaigns in the past five seasons, underscoring his ability to sustain success.
The roster returns All‑Big 12 First Team selections S'Mya Nichols and Jaliya Davis, providing a strong foundation of experience and skill.
New faces and fresh talent
Kansas also welcomes McDonald's All‑American Cydnee Bryant, a five‑star center from Riverside, California, who is expected to add depth and interior presence to the lineup.
Season tickets for the 2026‑27 campaign will go on sale in July, giving fans the opportunity to secure seats for what promises to be an exciting year.
