From July 22 through July 29, collectors and fans can place bids on a curated selection of World Cup artifacts that have been authenticated by Christie's. The online event, branded as "One Goal," is a collaboration with the global advocacy organization Global Citizen and will stream the auction directly to a worldwide audience.
All revenue generated will be funneled into the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a program aiming to raise $100 million for education and sports access in underserved communities. The fund aligns with the broader mission of using cultural moments to drive social impact.
Highlights from the collection
The sale showcases a range of historically significant pieces, including the official match ball from the World Cup Final and opening fixtures at Estadio Azteca, Toronto Stadium and SoFi Stadium. A Trionda ball autographed by Santiago Gimenez and a jersey signed by the Austrian national team are also on the block.
Among the most coveted items are match‑worn jerseys signed by Lionel Messi, as well as apparel worn by Shakira during the tournament’s halftime performances and in the "Dai Dai" music video, the official song of the 2026 World Cup.
Additional memorabilia includes a World Cup Earth Ball handwritten by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and a commemorative Earth Ball signed by Shakira, Kaka and FIFA president Gianni Infantino, offering fans a tangible connection to the tournament’s cultural footprint.
Beyond sports equipment, the auction captures the intersection of athletics, music and global storytelling, reflecting how the World Cup serves as a platform for both competition and cultural exchange.
