The Gabby Williams Elite youth girls basketball team secured its second consecutive national championship on Sunday, defeating Tulsa JYD 55‑54 in the Power 24 tournament final in Louisville, Kentucky. The victory marks a historic back‑to‑back title run for the Northern Nevada squad, which previously captured the Nike Nationals crown in 2025.
A Legacy in the Making
Coach Dustin Hall praised the team’s chemistry and talent, noting that the Power 24 tournament was larger than ever, with dozens of Division I college coaches in attendance. He described the players’ trust in one another as the foundation of their clutch performance.
The championship roster features standout talents such as Gabriela Hall, Ani Carpenter, Charlotte Olson, Brookesly Wilson, Mia Hall, Allison Dolan, Josie Williamson, Sophie Nielsen and Hayden Gallery. Collectively, the nine players have amassed more than 50 college offers, with six already holding NCAA Division I scholarships. Wilson, a junior at Reno High, boasts 14 offers, while Olson has attracted about ten to eleven, including several Power 4 programs.
Gabriela Hall and Mia Hall, both returning from ACL surgery, have nevertheless drawn multiple collegiate recruitments, underscoring the team’s depth. Freshman Ani Carpenter is already receiving offers, and Josie Williamson has secured roughly six. The squad also includes Kevin Carpenter and Becca Gallery, who have been part of the supportive network throughout the tournament.
Gabby Williams, a former player and coach at Reed, kept daily contact with the team via phone calls and FaceTime, providing steady encouragement from afar. With a pipeline of elite talent and a coaching staff that emphasizes both skill and cohesion, the organization looks poised to remain a dominant force on the national stage.
