The Jacksonville Jaguars are gearing up for the NFL Flag Championships in Indiana, with a packed month of activities kicking off on July 11.
The series of events, organized by Jaguars PREP, will showcase a girls' flag tournament, the inauguration of a new football field and a high school media day, all aimed at boosting youth and high school football across Northeast Florida.
Championship schedule
Eleven teams bearing the Jaguars banner will travel to the Droplight Grand Park Sports Campus, among them the defending champion Jaguars Elite 14U boys squad that finished 7‑0 last year at the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
The championship games themselves run from July 23 to 26, featuring more than 350 boys and girls teams from across the country, and will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC, Disney and the NFL Network.
Beyond the competition, the month‑long program is designed to develop talent and create clear pathways for flag and tackle football for student‑athletes in North Florida and Southeast Georgia.
Over 1,000 participants are expected, with past Jaguars players and other guests slated to mentor and support the youngsters.
Key dates include the Nike Girls Flag Summer Tournament on July 11 at Jacksonville University, the Global Leadership Field opening on July 18 at the ARTS campus on Lusso Lane, and High School Media Day on July 21 at the Jags Miller Electric Center, followed by the Jaguars Elite Girls Flag Signing Day later that afternoon.
Brysen Wright, Dalton Motes and London Jenkins are among the athletes set to take part, representing the next generation of talent the franchise hopes to nurture.
The initiative underscores the Jaguars' commitment to growing the sport locally, a mission shared with partners such as Nike, the National Football League and the NFL Foundation.
