Jimmie Johnson, a seven‑time NASCAR Cup Series champion, is set to bring his racing pedigree to TNT’s broadcast booth as an analyst for the upcoming In‑Season Challenge.
A New Chapter on the Airwaves
His debut will take place on June 28 at Sonoma Raceway in California, where he will provide commentary alongside the network’s existing lineup of analysts.
Beyond Sonoma, Johnson will also cover the July 19 race at North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Carolina and the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana later in the summer.
From Driver to Analyst
After stepping back from full‑time competition in 2020, Johnson spent several years as a NASCAR analyst for NBC Sports, earning praise for his insightful breakdowns and personable style.
With 83 career victories and 375 top‑10 finishes across 701 Cup Series starts, he remains one of the most decorated drivers in series history, a member of both the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.
