Kansas State University Expands Alcohol Sales at Bill Snyder Family Stadium

New gameday policy aims to boost revenue and keep fans seated, starting with the season opener

A Strategic Shift for K-State Football

Kansas State University will begin selling alcoholic beverages across the entire venue of Bill Snyder Family Stadium this fall, marking a notable change in gameday operations.

Athletic Director Gene Taylor said the decision follows years of research and a desire to enhance the overall fan experience while preserving a competitive edge for the program.

The new policy permits the sale of beer, seltzers, canned cocktails and wine, but imposes a two‑drink limit per person per transaction and halts sales at the end of the third quarter.

Current rules in premium sections remain unchanged, and the university expects the additional revenue to support athletic initiatives and improve facilities.

The policy is slated to take effect for the opener on Saturday, Sept. 5, against Nicholls, and officials say it should keep more spectators in their seats throughout the game.
