A Strategic Addition
The Atlanta Gladiators have secured forward Kyle Pow for the 2026‑27 season, reinforcing their roster with a player who brings a blend of toughness and offensive versatility.
Pow, 27, has spent the last three seasons navigating a variety of leagues, including the ECHL, SPHL, Federal Prospects Hockey League and the National Ice Hockey League, accumulating a reputation as a reliable penalty‑killer and a gritty forechecker.
During the 2025‑26 campaign he recorded 18 penalty minutes in eight ECHL appearances for the Kansas City Mavericks while also contributing 109 minutes in 19 games for the Athens Rock Lobsters of the FPHL, where he added an assist and a reputation for physical play.
His professional journey began in the 2023‑24 season in the NIHL, splitting time between the Whitley Warriors and Bristol Pitbulls, where he posted six points (four goals, two assists) in 34 games before earning an ECHL debut with the Utah Grizzlies and a stint in the SPHL with the Birmingham Bulls.
Pow’s consistent presence across North American minor leagues has made him a sought‑after depth forward, and his signing aligns with the Gladiators’ aim to blend youthful talent with veteran savvy as they chase a playoff berth.
The move also underscores the Gladiators’ strong ties to their NHL and AHL affiliates, the Nashville Predators and Milwaukee Admirals, ensuring a clear development pathway for Pow and future call‑ups.
Fans can expect to see Pow bring a hard‑nosed work ethic to the ice, contributing both in the minutes log and on the scoresheet as the team looks to build on its recent successes.
