NASCAR’s Broadcast Shake‑Up: Cup Series Moves to USA Sports, O’Reilly Series Gets New Streaming Deal

NASCAR announced a major shift in how its premier Cup Series will be televised, moving the bulk of the season’s final races to the newly formed USA Sports network. Ten of the last fourteen races will be shown on USA Network, while the remaining four — including the storied events at Daytona, Talladega, Martinsville and Homestead‑Miami — will stay on NBC, preserving a traditional broadcast anchor for the sport’s biggest spectacles. The change does not mean a complete overhaul of production; practice and qualifying sessions will still be aired on truTV and HBO Max, with the Aug. 8 session at Iowa Speedway remaining on truTV and HBO Max as before. The booth will be led by veteran voices Leigh Diffey, Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte, who will bring their familiar blend of play‑by‑play and analysis to the new platform. Fans can also look forward to a revamped O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, which has struck a partnership with The CW and ESPN for streaming access to practice and qualifying rounds. Starting Aug. 8, all O'Reilly Auto Parts Series sessions will be available on the CW and ESPN apps under an Unlimited subscription that costs $29.99 per month or $35.99 when bundled with Disney+ and Hulu. From next year, the series’ races will be exclusive to the ESPN app, though the events will still be free over‑the‑air on CW television and remain accessible via the ESPN app for streaming. The Unlimited tier is priced at $29.99 monthly, or $35.99 when packaged with Disney+ and Hulu, giving viewers a one‑stop sports bundle. The remaining Cup Series schedule stretches through Nov. 8, featuring races at iconic tracks such as Iowa, Richmond, New Hampshire, Daytona, Darlington, and the World Wide Technology Raceway in Illinois. Even as USA Sports takes over Cup coverage, Fox Sports will continue to broadcast all on‑track sessions across NASCAR’s various series, ensuring that teams and sponsors retain a broad media presence.
