Nascar announced this week that it will join forces with financial services firm Avant to roll out a co‑branded credit card in early 2027, marking the latest effort to tie premium financial products to the sport’s massive fan ecosystem.
Rewarding the Core Fanbase
The card, set to go live on January 1, 2027, will automatically enroll holders in Nascar Fan Rewards, granting them All‑Star status and giving them early access to tickets for the season‑opening Daytona 500, which is scheduled for February 21. In addition, the card promises enhanced reward rates on purchases related to travel, merchandise and race‑day experiences, all designed to reflect the spending habits of Nascar’s dedicated audience.
While the partnership is slated to begin at the start of the new year, the full 2027 Cup schedule has yet to be released, though the season is expected to culminate with the championship race in November. Avant, which previously held a sponsorship deal with Major League Soccer, will enjoy exclusivity in the credit‑card category, positioning the product as a unique bridge between motorsport fandom and everyday financial services.
Craig Stimmel and Charles Whittaker, senior executives at Avant, said the collaboration leverages the loyalty of Nascar’s fan base, turning their passion into tangible financial perks. By aligning the card’s benefits with the sport’s calendar, the companies aim to deepen engagement and create a recurring reason for fans to use the card throughout the year.
The move also comes as Nascar continues to expand its media and commercial footprint, recently announcing a partnership with the Motorsport Network in July 2026 that further broadens its digital presence. Together, these initiatives suggest a strategy that goes beyond traditional sponsorship, embedding the sport into the daily lives of its supporters.
