A Revamped 2027 Season
NASCAR has released its full 2027 calendar, a lineup that stitches together legacy venues with fresh challenges, while deepening its ties to the U.S. military.
The centerpiece of the early season is the Wheatley Vodka Clash at Daytona International Speedway, scheduled for February 13, 2027. The event not only kicks off Speedweeks but also sets the stage for the iconic DAYTONA 500, which will follow on February 21, drawing hundreds of thousands of fans to the historic high‑banked track.
Later in May, the NASCAR All‑Star Race makes its return to North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 21‑23, bringing the beloved exhibition back to the half‑mile bullring that has long been a fan favorite. The race will be part of a three‑day celebration that underscores the series’ commitment to grassroots venues.
The season will culminate with Championship Weekend at Homestead‑Miami Speedway on November 12‑14. The event benefits from a $20 million upgrade that enhances fan amenities, hospitality suites and digital experiences, positioning the finale as a modern celebration of the sport’s top drivers.
New additions to the calendar include a return to Watkins Glen International, where the historic road course will host a Cup Series race, and a debut for New Hampshire Motor Speedway on The Chase schedule. Both tracks join a refreshed roster that also features Bowman Gray Stadium, slated to welcome the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series for the first time on August 20, 2027.
Canadian Tire Motorsport Park makes its comeback on September 5, serving as the final regular‑season event before The Chase begins at Richmond Raceway on September 11. The addition of these venues reflects NASCAR’s strategy of diversifying its geographic footprint while preserving the tradition of iconic tracks such as Daytona and Charlotte.
Beyond the on‑track action, NASCAR’s partnership with the U.S. Navy continues to be a defining theme. The 2027 schedule sees the return of NASCAR San Diego at Naval Base Coronado from July 30 to August 1, an event created to honor service members and women. The collaboration is slated to expand to additional military installations in 2028, reinforcing the series’ dedication to the armed forces community.
